emdrtech is an initiative of UMA IT Consultancy, which was established in 2006 to provide information systems consultancy services and develop business solutions for corporate informatics.
Over the years, UMA IT has successfully completed various projects in fields such as ERP, CRM, digital marketing, and software application development, both nationally and internationally, providing quality solutions to its clients.
In 2018, our engineers discovered EMDR therapy and noticed the absence of local technology suppliers in our country. In response, they decided to develop a product line for EMDR specialists. After three months of intensive research and development, we launched our first domestically produced EMDR assistant device, MAT V1, in April 2019.
We have since continued our research and development efforts and introduced DAT and ATV sets to the Turkish market in 2020. Furthermore, we have been working on our TÜBİTAK 1507 project in 2020-2021 to create innovative EMDR solutions. Some wireless and innovative models are expected to follow soon.

Why did we produce emdr devices?
In the wake of the devastating Marmara earthquake in 1999, EMDR therapy was introduced to our country through humanitarian aid from abroad. As the number of EMDR therapists has grown since then, so has the demand for EMDR devices. Until 2019, these devices were sourced from foreign suppliers. In the fall of 2018, we set out to create a domestically produced EMDR device to meet this need.
Our goal from the outset has been to “Develop and deliver innovative EMDR device manufacturing solutions for psychotherapy.” Our products are designed to bring the latest technology to market and enable practitioners to work smarter and more effectively. The History of EMDR
EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) is a trauma treatment method developed by American psychologist Francine Shapiro in 1987. It is a branch of psychotraumatology and was first introduced to our country in 1997, following the 1999 earthquake. Since then, many expert therapists have taken EMDR training and begun to implement this technique.
EMDR therapy is a short-term therapy type compared to most other therapy techniques, and it has become more popular worldwide in recent years. Clinical studies have shown that it is highly effective in reducing post-traumatic stress levels and treating the symptoms of psychological problems such as anxiety. EMDR therapy has also been recognized by international health organizations such as the World Health Organization, the UK Department of Health, and the International Association for the Study of Traumatic Stress.
